It’s hard to know where to start in this full scan of a summer 1999 Delia’s (EXCUSE ME! dELiA*s!) catalog. Suffice it to say that I would have been happy on any of my best days in the late 1990s to even so much as remotely resemble any human being pictured on those pages. Such effortless cool. Such wide flares. Such chunky soles.
Jaw-droppingly important.
There isn’t much else in this world from the last almost-34 years that fills me with such longing, rage, shame, and desperation as late-90’s Delia*s catalogs.
Um. DELIA*S. The second the opened the store in the Providence Place Mall my life, and wallet, changed entirely. I still really dig those white pants I see there….
I search the Internets high and low on a fairly regular basis for clothing from Delias circa 96 to 99. I have thus far failed to find anything for sale. If you have a lead please let me know.
Until then I will be making googly eyes at this scan.
Look at it all. LOOK AT IT. Glorious.
